I like iPhone but the photo format is not convenient in this world. When my friends complain about unknown HEIC file format, let the sips do the magic.

sips -s format jpeg input.heic --out output.jpg

when you have many files

for f in *.HEIC; do sips -s format jpeg "$f" --out "${f%.*}.jpg"; done
